
Hi, my name is Alexia Alvarez. I’m a 19-year-old personal trainer and health coach.
I grew up in a culture where food meant love, connection, and comfort—but it also became something I struggled with. As I got older, my relationship with food and my body turned unhealthy. I chased quick fixes, fad diets, and fast results, which eventually led to an eating disorder and one of the lowest points in my life.
Everything changed when I discovered strength training. Lifting weights taught me discipline, patience, and self-respect. Instead of trying to shrink my body, I learned how to build it. I began fueling my body properly, finding balance between honoring my culture and supporting my health. The gym became a place where I rebuilt my confidence, energy, and mindset.
That’s when I found my purpose.
I continued my education, earned certifications, and now study nutrition and exercise science at the University of Washington. My goal is to become a certified nutrition specialist and help others build strong, sustainable lifestyles—physically and mentally.
Today, I work with teens and young women, moms and busy professionals, and anyone ready to stop chasing perfection and start building confidence.
